wonder years. [02 Oct 2006|10:54pm] so back in the day my parents had an old super-8 camera and took tons of films of their kids growing up. those films were then stored in the attic, and have been collecting dust for quite a while. well, us children recently got a hold on them and are currently converting them to digital movies... look...baby ethan!!! [16 Aug 2006|06:02pm] i had to clean out the blue beast today. i'm getting another car. its going to be a subaru. here it is below. i think i just love station wagons. anyway. 1/4 the way into cleaning the car i got really really sad. the car really was such a huge part of my life. i was the first to get the license. so we all used to pile into it. and drive around. had first romances in there. had many nights of sleeping in it. drove it all around the country. i started finding all of these random inside jokes written on diner napkins. many, many cds scratched to shit. dollar bills. just tons of stuff. and now. i have to bid it adieu. the blue beast has served its purpose these past years during high school and college. i now need a new car, one to drive me to my teaching job in the real world. and so it goes. may this new subaru, which i've yet to name, serve us all well. [08 Jul 2006|01:36am] so. about to pass out. went to apple's trailer website and viewed gibson's amazingly accurate rendition of mayan history. going through the trailer, and found something quite distubring. about 3/4s through there is a monkey. pause the trailer. then start slowly rewinding frame by frame. he's leaning on a mayan, bearded, with a cigarette in his mouth... see for yourself. and that is the end of that. night night. 9 ducks swimming in the water | take a swim.
